Prisoner is pretty sad and hopeless in some parts, but in other parts, especially the end, it is happy. Prisoner is about how all the German want the Jewish go away and work. Yanek's family all get killed by the Germans and Yanek has to work for the Germans. Many other prisoners die thought working. Yanek is prisoner B-3087 and B-3087 gets tattooed into his skull. Most of the other people are Poles and in the end the Germans figure out he his a Jew and all the Jews were to be killed. The Germans tried to kill him but then the Americans come while the Germans are not there and help Yanek and then he lives a happy life. One time he almost got killed because of hiding and he had to make up an escuse that he was walking to work.
I think Prisoner is a very emotional book and everybody young or old would enjoy it!!!
